Coffee Morning

Our club holds a most enjoyable annual "President's Coffee Morning" at Heaven Farm, Furners Green, where recently our Vice-President, Peter Nilsson, presented flowers to the our President's wife, Lynn Platts, to express his thanks on behalf of the club for her support during the past year. We were also pleased to welcome several widows of our previous members. This event also gives us an opportunity to invite and meet up with representatives of nearby Probus Clubs.

Heaven Farm, owned by one of our members, John Butler, provided a wonderful venue. Heaven Farm's records go back to 1387. The present buildings were built around 1830 and were a Colonel Davies' home farm. Most of the buildings and contents form a museum, displaying agricultural implements. Some of us took the opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds which added to the enjoyment of this annual event.
